Frequently Asked Questions
-
We invite you to schedule a consultation so we can assess your skin and recommend the peel that's best suited to your skin type, goals, and lifestyle.
-
Yes, some chemical peels can be safely performed during the summer with the proper precautions.
BioRePeel is considered a summer-friendly peel because it causes minimal peeling and has little to no photosensitizing effect, making it an excellent option during the warmer months when you're spending more time outdoors. Daily SPF and sun protection are still essential.
The Perfect Derma Peel and the Vivier Peel are more intensive treatments that require extra caution during the summer. Because these peels create more skin exfoliation, they increase your skin's sensitivity to UV exposure. If you have significant sun exposure planned, such as a beach vacation or outdoor event, we may recommend postponing treatment or choosing a different peel.
-
The best chemical peel depends on the severity of your acne, acne scarring, and your skin’s needs.
Moderate to severe acne and acne scarring: The Perfect Derma Peel is a great option for more advanced acne concerns and can help improve the appearance of acne, post-acne marks, and uneven skin texture.
Mild to moderate acne with little to no downtime: BioRePeel is a great choice for improving acne and maintaining clearer skin with no downtime.
Maintenance and ongoing skin health: The Vivier Peel can be used as part of a maintenance routine to help keep the skin clear.
